No, I don't think that. Personally, I don't judge people unless I know them.
Goblin imps probably has something to do with goblins. Appearance, action, there's lots of possibilities. <_<

First, I don't mean to sound judgemental. I really don't. I just... wonder about his process. After all, by his own admission, there were things he didn't bother to map out about his own world until the film project came along and the screenwriters started asking. Granted, most of them are about the political landscape outside the British empire and Prague's weak territories, but still... I wonder how much was carefully planned and detailed and how much went in because it seemed right at the time.

Maybe too many possibilites... I'll bet someone could wrangle a whole fanfic/fanart 100 out of the idea of the "goblin imp!" :D

I agree, actually; you don't need to know every single little detail about something to use it briefly in your story.

It would be interesting to see how much Stroud did map out. Hopefully we'll all know someday- if the Bartimaeus Bible is ever published, that is. Robert Jordan (may he rest in peace, in nomine patris, et filii, et spiritus sancti, amen), along with Teresa Patterson, published The World of Rober Jordan's Wheel of Time and there are tons of guides to the universe of Harry Potter and the writings about Tolkien's middle earth very nearly outnumber the stars- why shouldn't something similar be published for this trilogy?

If you mean a guide about the trilogy, actually, Stroud is supposed to be making one for the Bartimaeus Trilogy.
And lately, I've been a bit rude, so sorry about that

Yeah, I heard that the screenwriters sent him a pretty hefty questionaire and that got him started on something along those lines. I hope it comes out soon.

Oh, I'll live. I've been known to get pretty snippy myself, so I really shouldn't do too much by way of calling anybody else out.

... I am having way too much fun with these emoticons.

Thanks for the vote o confience, and that's the meaning I intended.

I got the impression Goblin Imps were just as described-
Sturdy, hardy, slightly brutish imps.
Not exactly from the book, but close enough.
