1. I want to know did you like the books? I loved them but that's just me. And did you feel bad killing Nat? It hit me like a ton of bricks and as I am writing this I still feel bad about it. I think I just want to know if it was a fun thing you liked to do all the time?

Hello there.

I loved writing the books: of course I had bad days, bad weeks, but most of the time I enjoyed the thrill of piecing the whole thing together. I didn't feel bad about Nat, not really - I'd have felt worse if I'd betrayed him by giving him some kind of dodgy moral get-out clause at the end. I think he had to redeem himself this way.

I don't know what happened to Nick. I suppose Makepeace let him go; I imagine he was never quite the same again... He's slunk off somewhere, surviving, being vaguely dishonest and reprehensible.

Next book: Heroes of the Valley, UK/UK launch Jan 2009...!!!!
