I would say Jacob. No not becoz I like him, he is scary in a pathetic sort of way  .He however happens to have loads more importance than Queezle. Sry Queezle.

Best of the three. It took me a while to get that conclusions out of such good books.
Aye.

^Nice addition to the topic.

I reckon the first was better than the third. I just liked Nat's character more in AoS than PG, so the whole book was equally enjoyable, unlike the other two, where Kitty got parts, and although her parts were still great, they didn't stand up to Nat's or Barti's

I agree.
AoS edges just ahead of PG, with GE a close third.

I loved the whole book even when Nathaniel died. I felt that his death pushed people further down the road to making the world a better place for Humans and Demons to coexist without the two being enslaved by the other. But I also think that his death really cut deeply in Kitty and Bartimaeus. Nathaniel was changing his views and his attitude toward demons, and magic, and most of all his feelings to Kitty. I felt in a way that his death was needed and not needed. The ending was made to make an imprint on the readers mind, and death tends to do that. It was still a wonderful book:) I quite enjoyed it, even with the ending.
Anakin Skywalker
Attachment is forbidden. Possession is forbidden. Compassion -- which I would define as?unconditional love -- is essential to a Jedi's life. So, you might say that we are encouraged to love.

Qui-Gon Jinn
The ability to speak doesn't make you intelligent.
*gasp* this thread = sacrilege! of course i liked it. i liked nathaniel a lot more in AoS, but i think he redeemed himself quite well. i don't know whether it would be my favourite of the trilogy, though... that probably goes to AoS.

I loved the ending. The whole 'and they live happily ever after.' thing gets old. This isn't the frist time I said this.
The Amulet Of Samarkand and Ptolemy's Gate was a near tie. PG won. AOS was really suspenseful and it's the first book, when everything is new and interesting. PG was when Nathaniel, half way, was bad, the ending is so nice, the plot was very nice as well, better than AOS.
