For those of you on Dial-Up who have trouble browsing the forum.

Go to:

My Controls > Board Settings > Board Display Settings.

Disable viewing avatars, sigs, and posted images. Granted you may miss out on a few things, but the forum will load a lot faster :)

The site will suck.

11 MBps? You get 11 goddam Megabytes per second?! Wow... as in: Wow...

The highest speed available to home users in the UK is about 8mbps. Highest I've used is 2mbps and the fastest I can get at home (which I have) is 512kbps.


11mbps is a bit of an odd choice... normally the sequence doubles each time - ie 1, 2, 4, 8, 16... I would have expected 12 at least, rather than 11.

Come to think of it... the numbers are always divisible by two... 11 isn't...

1mbps isn't divisible by two... (although it's technically 1024kbps, as 2mbps is 2048kbps)

We started out with 3mbps, but Comcast has been upgrading, so I think we may have 6mbps now.

well i just didn't have time to help out with board with school and being on dial-up, however now, even though i am still on dial-up i hope to be able to come on a lot more often.
