This has been nagging me for a while. Now, we know how old the protagonists are in the books, but when are the books set? What years?

There is a timeline on the Bartimaeus website. Amulet of Samarkand was in 2000, Golem's Eye in 2002, and Ptolemy's Gate in 2005. :)

i tried to calculate them myself from when t said bart was first summoned in RoS and when it says how old he was in AoS

that's 5010 and 3020bc. or at least thats what i got from farqual's age, apparently i got that one completely wrong and it's 3010bc.

so yeah, i fail more than you.....ha.
