Fasting is probably the worst thing anyone can ever do. It's like peeling off your fingernails and toenails and cutting every inch of your body with cuts from them. Then drilling nails into each of your toes and fingers and then both your eyes.

Try it, it's mentally and spiritually enlightening.

You can probably hold out for about four days; if you have the will. Any more and weakness will set in.

Humans can survive two months or more without food. Not much good for them, mind.

Generally if you're not eating, hunger tends to go away after a while.

I thought for the normal human it was three weeks. You know, the rule of threes: three minutes without air, three days without water, three weeks without food.

Although I guess there are some who could hold out longer.

Sure, three weeks is the standard estimate, but it is possible to survive longer - up to a couple of months - but even if you do survive, you'll be pretty messed up by it.

Nope. The only reasons some of Britain was interested was because a) it was happening here and B) they watch stuff like Big Brother anyway. :P
