Christmas for Bartimaeus

It randomly occurred to me how Kitty, Nathaniel, Bartimaeus, and any other obviously less significant characters would be up to on Christmas.

Whether it be gulping down a few enemy foliots (nothing peculiar about that, of course), sitting at a large desk in his office, hidden behind an enormous pile of papers (such spirit for the holidays is indeed heartwarming), actually hanging ornaments up on a tree (exceedingly shocking), or whatever else you can think of...

In other news, Merry (early) Christmas, fellow Bartims. :cookie:

Natty would be in the office wrking, or going to a stuffy ministry ball; Bart would be doing Nat's errands and complaining about humans; Kitty would spend it with the resistance and breaking into a magician's home.

Now that I think about it, if Christmas is a big celebration in their society, that would be the perfect time to rob a magician, since they'd be off guard. It would probably only work the one time though.

Yes. But there are a lot of magicians aviable to steal from, if they all get more relaxed on christmas. Until they get through all of them, they're gonna become very rich.

Do you usually change username and avatar according to the time of the year?

I don't think this counts as a proper christmas thread, tbh.
I haven't heard of an actual christmas thread, but last time I checked, nobody posted.

Nah, just thought it would be fun. (people do it on tumblr a lot, but it annoys the hell out of me when I need to find an old post)

After the first magician was robbed, wouldn't they warn the others to increase security. Then it only might work the one time. Sure there's no honour among magicians, but they'd probably want to stop the Resistance from gaining a foothold more than they'd want other magicians to lose money.

Hmm, yes. But if most of them are at some social party, even tightened security can do only so much for the less powerful magicians.
