Hello, hello, hello Mr.S heh, hope you doing very well and good with whatever you're doing.

I have a couple questions stemming from a forum post i made today:

Would it be possible for a spirit to be "charged" with energy from a talisman?

I got it from bart, as he implies that by eating another spirit and absorbing its essence, the spirits power is transfered. Could be used for healing away from the OP, or for a little extra oompth in battle.

And...

How are 7 League Boots particularily made? As in are they like normal boots, just with a litte silver and entities?

Thank You for your time,
Dansariki

Hello Dansariki,

Great questions, thanks for sending them. Apologies for the slow reply!

Talismans: yes, I think it would certainly be possible for power to transfer from a magical object, i.e. one with a spirit or spirits inside, and a djinni. If an object was somehow broken and the spirits within were instantly absorbed before they could return to the Other Place, Bart would gain their power, but it's risky, because if the trapped entities were more powerful than Bart, they might well absorb him... In most cases, I guess the captives might vanish back to the OP before Bart could swallow them.

Aside from that, Bart can certainly get power from magical objects - i.e. use a talisman, or wear a protective charm; and one side result from some objects might be to renew his essence.

Yep, seven league boots are made of (pretty posh) leather, treated and waxed to give them long life, and with a number of entities bound up within the fabric. To all intents and purposes they look normal, but rather old-fashioned.

Bye for now,

Jonathan
