Well since we are so very off topic I don't have to worry about following the conversation. :)

Does JK have something against her characters? Some of the deaths (snapes, dobbys, mad eyes) I could have accepted and might have even helped the book. But some of them were just pointless. What was the point of killing Lupin and Tonks? She just added it in. And there was no need for hedwig to die. That was just cruel. I'd let it go, because in general I liked the book, but she killed Fred. That I just can't forgive.

(And why did it have to be fred anyway? She blasted off georges ear and then killed his brother. Where is the compassion?)

Okay, this is me doing damage repair. If the post above doesn't seem like Artemis's norm, that's because it's not. She was logged on my computer yesterday and forgot to log off so I accidently posted for her.

If you people are asking why I didn't continue to wreak havoc in Arti's name, well I'm sure if any of you got the wonderful oppertunity you would. But you happen to have a computer to hide behind, where as she knows where I live. And Arti pissed is a very very scary thing.

I can imagine. But I liked the post. I didn't want Fred to die. He was one of my favorite characters.

But, as for Lupin, I think that she felt the need to kill off the last of the special threesome (foursome, if you feel the need to count Wormtail), and also to kill off Ted's parents, so Harry could have a special bond.

I can see what your saying via the foursome. And I did liked the way she ended up killing wormtail. But it just felt to me like she added it on the end. All this stuff is going on and, oh, by the way tonks and lupin are dead.

Well, she also probably thought that she needed more sacrifice so that Harry could suffer more. He needed a lot of sacrifice that night.

All these deaths and yet Harry didn't die. I know I've said that I wished he would, but I have to admit when I thought he was going to die, I was sad. Just goes to show. Though I was mostly sad about Dumbledore betraying him, not about him actually dying.
