Well since we are so very off topic I don't have to worry about following the conversation. :)
Does JK have something against her characters? Some of the deaths (snapes, dobbys, mad eyes) I could have accepted and might have even helped the book. But some of them were just pointless. What was the point of killing Lupin and Tonks? She just added it in. And there was no need for hedwig to die. That was just cruel. I'd let it go, because in general I liked the book, but she killed Fred. That I just can't forgive.
(And why did it have to be fred anyway? She blasted off georges ear and then killed his brother. Where is the compassion?)
