I fancied doing that too, but I know I need to complete the series. I need to know what's going to happen in the end as I have read the first 2.

The further I got through the second book the more I wished I hadn't persevered with the first. Now I have to know what happens, even though I don't care and I can't stand how badly written it is. :hmm:

Good point. I don't want to stop reading and just leave the story hanging there, either. Even though it sounds too familiar anyway.

I know I sound fickle - minded ( but I am not!), but I don't mind the IC that much when I read it again. OK, it is badly written, cliched etcetc, but still I like it coz its interesting. And I have always been partial to magical series & the IC is following a plot line. I always like when books do that.

Have to agree with N&B, you do point out the bad things about the IC a lot...but many people point out the bad stuff about this anyway.

At least you're not like Post, though...in a way.

We can't just stop in the middle of the story there and leave it hanging there on a cliff...it'd be like an airplane flying across the ocean and suddenly stopping in midair, right in the middle of nowhere.

Maybe I shouldn't compare books to airplanes...

No, it's good. So it's as if this airplane has turbulence... but not enough to make you want to get off? In midair?

Usually I get off fairly quickly if I don't like the 'flight'.

I didn't really enjoy Eragon. I found it to be poorly written.
