I have read all three books from the trilogy and I have to say they were the best books i ever read. I mostly liked the last book but i was confused about your thoughts while writing the end of the book, so i have a question which I'm kind of losing sleep over.
1) in the second book and for most of the last book, you create a feeling of dislike for Nat for being so cruel to Bart, then toward the end of the third book he shows the softer side of him that he hasn't shown since his childhood, and then he even has feelings for Kitty. I stayed up until midnight last night reading the last fifty pages of the book and i was very exited for the ending, then when it came i was very disappointed and confused. I was expecting an ending like, 10 years later kitty and Nat are married Nat became the PM and kitty had a seat in the council and every so often they summon Bart and have a friendly conversation! But no, the main character is never to be seen again and doesn't even get his last word in, the second main character is DEAD, and the third is very very sad. i just wanted to know your thought process and why you ended the book like that.

2) I also have one small question that interested me. your name is Jonathan and the main human characters name is Nathaniel emphasis on the NATHAN in JoNATHAN and when he gets his new name it's john JONanthan. was that done on purpose?
