Ok, I don't think this will be answered, but ever since I read the series I have been DYING to ask someone who really "knows" about this stuff.
1. So, exactly how are demons (sorry for the term, can't think of anything else to use) created? . Do they have children, or is the Other Place constantly creating more essence, or some other farfetched reason I don't know about yet?
(Could it be that essence is recycled?)
2. Also, could spirits be here (on Earth, I mean) without need of a proper summoning? There are two parts to this question.
The first part is that, do djinn live alongside us, not as slaves, but as equals? (Kitty and Ptolemy would like that.)
Also, in Amulet of Samarkand (Simpkin) and in Ring of Solomon (Ammet) there were always spirits that 'loved' their master and existed there to assist them, and didn't need any summoning of the sort. How exactly do they get out of the Other Place? Or did they get summoned?
3. Finally, (this is something I'd to chastise Bart with) why do spirits like the Other Place so much? I don't quite get it. Everything that Bartimaeus prides himself with, (his attitude, his victories, his masters, at times) was acquired on Earth. Out in the Other Place, everyone is equal. As peaceful as that sounds, Bart would just be one grain of sand in a desert. He wouldn't be so special. Even Ramuthra, Nouda, and all those biggies would only be as special as a lowly sprite. (Or so I think. Correct me if I'm wrong, because my conception of the Other Place still isn't clear despite constant references to PG)
If this gets answered, then thanks!
Oh, and by the way, I would just like to know- how much time did you spend researching historical facts? I hope you write more!
