I was reading the preview to the Ring of Solomon, and Bartimaeus mentioned Eridu, one of the earliest cities of men. That got me thinking about these two questions I would like to ask you:

1. Which city was first to use the powers of spirits?
2. How did the very first humans learn about spirits? How is it that they happened to figure out how to summon them and use pentacles and such, etc. http://bartiforums.com/topic/3342

How are you doing? It was great to meet you last month. I think the earliest cities to use spirits were those that were the first to appear: Ur, Jericho and Uruk are all contenders, and probably got going around the same time.
