A Few Questions (Maybe Nat Isn't Dead?)

Submit Your Question
Mr. Stroud,

I first must say that the Bartimaeus Trilogy is among my favorite books of all time, and I have read each of them multiple times. Now that that's out of the way, I do have a few questions:

1. This one has been bugging me a ton, and as far as I could find, nothing exactly like it has been asked already. It may be that I really just don't want Nathaniel to be dead, even though I respect and highly enjoyed the conclusion to the series. I recall Bartimaeus saying that after spirits are imprisoned for a long period of time, they may do great things for the person who releases them as a way to express their gratitude. Is it possible that when the marids and other spirits are released from the staff, that they could have shielded and saved Nathaniel from the blast of energy and building collapse? Because he was the one who freed them.

2. Is it possible that you will write another book that follows up PG? Even if Nathaniel is dead, though I very much hope not, Kitty and Bartimaeus are still there, and London was left with many new issues. Kitty was probably my favorite character, and I do like how you were able to convey the emotions they (N&K) had for one another without explicitly stating it.

3. And now, a question about writing. Do you have any tips for someone who is trying to publish a book of their own, which is in the same genre as the Bartimaeus series, but still quite different?

Thank you in advance if you read this. And once again, I greatly admire this beautifully crafted series of books!

First, add a spoiler alert for this please.
1)I don´t think so. Because the spirits just don´t like being dead. They would maybe help him if they survived it. Also, the few hours of prison inside the bodies aren´t enough to do this for Nat.

Nat is dead, just deal with it. I am not glad for it, but...
2)This is for Stroud to recognize, but probably not. The end is a bit opened and so Stroud lets readers think the end out by themselves. The trilogy is just complete.

But I really agree with that they are epic books!
Click please I will be glad. :D

I don't think that anyone here hasn't read PG

But you can´t be 100% sure. So, if anybody here didn´t read it, please go away.

Why the flooping 'eck would you go on here if you haven't read all the books?

Some people are simply stupid.
(Still I understand that some people go on this forum, but you never know if there isn´t any "clever" person which would go there to know ending)
Click please I will be glad. :D

If they want to spoil the ending, it's their business, it's not like the books are particularly new. Not like we can ever prove it.
