As some may know, yesterday evening was the Grand Prix Eurovision contest, the winner of which being Conchita Wurst (yes, apparently it is a name- nevermind that it means little shell sausage) with the song ''Rise like a phoenix''

Personally, I'm saying well done, it was a great song and totally deserved it.

The worst score was France with a whole 2 point.

Any thoughts?

What is Grand Prix Eurovision?

Singing contest of Europe with a vote at the end. Basically a circus where countries get to show off and make political statements using as much drama as possible. Some songs are ridiculous, some are pointless, some are about peace etc, but very seldom are there actually really good songs.
It's great for a laugh and gossiping.

It's entirely different. We aren't mocking Conchita, we're celebrating her right to do whatever she wants with her facial hair.

I'm not mocking Conchita, I like her and am very sorry for the quote, but it just would't leave me alone.

Besides, beards for the win. Moustaches, especially the french kind, for the lose.
