...some things were reassuringly familiar.

The list of places 19,000km from England consists basically of "New Zealand". (South Island, place called Takaka.)

It's an OPTICAL ILLUSION. (This is a more fun answer than "it's printed in a slightly bigger format and font size at the mysterious whims of the publishers, don't ask me".)

Go get some New Zealanders to read them. And tell them about this awesome forum.

That reminds me. Emethyst, RoS must have released in Singapore by now? It is nearly in every bookshop over here currently.

Wow. They got the nice Trilogy covers in New Zealand? (I'm not too fond of the American ones, feel free to shoot me).
It must have been lovely to find them there. :D

But not surprising, I hope.

New Zealand? Seriously? Cooooolll.

Don't know how you plan on flying home though. Mwahaha, it's good to know that some of the rest of the world is sharing the problems we've had down here. :D

Heathrow's open again. We're not flying home for another week and a half or so, though, so there's plenty of time for it to snow again... We might be making an unscheduled holiday in Los Angeles if that happens (that being the intermediate stop between here and home).

@n&b Nope :cry:

So, Sent, what are/were you doing there?
D'you think Kitty likes Hello Kitty?
emethyst wrote:@n&b Nope
That is seriously bad!

@Sent: I was about to ask you about the stopover. Wondered whether you travelled over the Atlantic or Indian ocean. Because both the routes seemed equidistant. Were there flights both ways?

^I totally saw that coming.

On topic, I think he'd make a great Great Goblin.

n&b: There are flights both ways around, yes. We just got a better price on the ones going the US way around.

emethyst: Just a holiday. Driven around the country, gone hiking in the national parks, that sort of thing. Spent the last five days sailing, as alluded to in a different thread somewhere, on the brigantine Søren Larsen. Here is a photo of it from near the top of the rigging (about 25m above deck level) looking down: http://img841.imageshack.us/img841/4571 ... 1small.jpg

Dave: I guess that makes you suited to play a troll, then. =)
