Bartimaeus: It won't be the only mad thing about if you let this lot go. Check out that one at the end. He's taken the form of a footstool. Weird...but somehow I like his style.
Nathaniel: That is a footstool. No one's using that Pentacle.

YEAH!! Getting drunk and yelling at Quebeckers = fun times.

Not actually going to buy any lottery tickets; I think they're silly.

Yeah, learned that from my old math teacher :P (who like to take time off from actual work and talk about random math type things. This caused me to fail to understand most of the math we were actually supposed to learn, but it was fun).

Omg. That's freaking awesome.

I'd be the kind to buy a few each time, just for kicks. I'd have to buy, what, tens of thousands to gain any meaningful edge?

I don't think it works that way...

(I could, y'know, look it up and tell you, but I'm trying to avoid math for the rest of the summer, thank you very much :P )

It is just probability. If you buy a ticket, your chances are damn less, and if you buy many, your chances of winning improve with respect to the number of tickets you bought. I wouldn't buy a lottery ticket unless I have at least a 1/25 chance of winning it. And since more than 25 people participate in a lottery and I refuse to buy more tickets, I'm never going to buy a lottery ticket.
