I said decent, not amazing. His earlier movies didn't suck near as much as The Happening did.

Sixth Sense was the movie which gave me some hope for his work as a director, and I agree with you completely about The Happening: those are a few hours of my life I'll never get back. My friends and I were completely obsessed with Avatar, but I think the unanimous verdict is that he hasn't lived up to the show's legacy with The Last Airbender. Also, why is Jackson Rathbone on none of the posters around London?! Sokka is a main part (and the best character), and needs more representation!
Bartimaeus: It won't be the only mad thing about if you let this lot go. Check out that one at the end. He's taken the form of a footstool. Weird...but somehow I like his style.
Nathaniel: That is a footstool. No one's using that Pentacle.

I vowed to not see The Last Airbender. Kept it so far.

Maybe Night thought that Sokka was secretly representing a German spy, and so wanted to reduce the exposure to Londoners?
Or another stupid move. That fits better.

Am with you 100% on that.

My brother thinks it's a good movie. That should give you a heads up on how not-okay it is.

Still, I'd be willing to bet they try a reboot within the next decade. My I'm cynical.

Haha that would have been legend :P

About 10 friends and I booked tickets a month in advance for HP6, and then when we arrived at the cinema (on time) WE got kicked out of the screening because there weren't enough seats. The cinema did, however, bump us onto the next show, which was being shown on a much larger screen, so it wasn't too bad.

I've only read the first due to library requests, so I have no qualms.

So who else is getting sick of Anne Rice in the media? She really is a woman without any sense of convictions. She likes to shout insults at the Church or atheists, whichever side amuses her at the time. (And apparently the woman is too shallow to look at other branches of Christian denominations that ween off the gay bashing and all.)

She is irrelevant and needs to be poofed back into obscurity, perhaps suing fanfiction writers if she has nothing else better to do with her life.

I can't comment on her books because I've never read them, but the woman herself irritates me.

My mom loves her Vampire novels, but I've never read them either. Vampire stories, unless exceptionally written, really aren't my thing. Stoker's Dracula was very good. Young Frankenstein, on a completely unrelated note, is also awesome.

I haven't heard anything on the news here about her, is it a local thing somewhere?
