Yeah, I see that table daily. And, if I remember rightly, in the Summer Olympics, countries with the maximum gold take the first position. Not the ones with the maximum medals. Why is it different in Winter Olympics?

Canada wins.

Well done, folks.
THANK YOU THANK YOU VERY MUCH

....did you watch the game? (I doubt it but it's worth asking)

Indeed, the United States do the greatest athletes.

At getting second.

In all honesty this was close game. I'm impressed with the US. Canada was too busy sitting back though in the end.

No, I didn't watch it, just in a couple of channels with lots of American and Canadian folks in.

Cool. Crowd support is crucial. So Canada has now got the most gold medals for a host nation.

Downtown is in uproar. Gotta love living in the capital. Hell, Toronto and Montreal are probably the same.

Well, the medal tally, by default, is arranged by the total number of gold medals won. In Wikipedia, every Olympic medal tally I checked had by the gold winners first. It is an IOC convention. The table we see arranged according to the total medals won is not really correct.

Best part: Walking outside right after the last hockey goal and hearing the distant screaming.

Yeah, I love that part. When the whole country goes mad. Great experience.
