So yeah, I was rereading the series, and I thought it'd be super amazing to see the series...serialized as a manga (Japanese comic book) and if it were, the best art would be Vampire Knight-styled;

That would be so squee. I suck at drawing, so I couldn't do it though.

I think that would be a horrific insult to the series.

Manga, maybe. Vampire Knight styled, no.

That cat in the sig plus this comment made me laugh for some odd reason.

lol.

Uh...
I'd prefer more of a Death Note kind of treatment, but looking at... Vampire Knight?
Eh. Not turning me on.
Also, I'm a fan of Witchblade, although doing TBT like that would piss me off.

Whoa.
Ok, I'll go with that, and, thinking about it, I wouldn't mind Witchblade-styled.
Looked at some of the Japanese adaption too, not to bad.

I'm a crazy shonen fan, and thus would like this. If it were done well. I'm also rereading the books.

Okay, maybe Vampire Knight style would be a little off for the contents of the stories ^^; But I think Kaori Yuki would do an amazing job, maybe someone a little better but along the same line...Hm. The Deathnote version would be best fitting, I think.

How many British novels have you seen adapted to Manga?
When I set out from the boy's attic window, my head was so full of competing plans and complex strategems that I didn't look where I was going and flew straight into a chimney.

Something symbolic in that. It's what fake freedom does for you.

It'd be great. But they have to respect the series and make them almost, if not perfectly, identical to the books.
...So I decided on a delicate, fastidious guise to impress upon my captor my formidable sophistication.
It was a snappy piece of work, if I say so myself. A large, iridescent bubble, glimmering all over with a pearly sheen, rotated in mid-air. Sort fragrances of aromatic wood drifted forth, with--faintly, as if borne from a great distance--the ethereal music of harps and violins. Inside the bubble, with little round spectacles perched upon her shapely nose, sat a beautiful maiden. She peered calmly out.

Hi! :new:
I'd LOVE that if it happened. For some reason, I always thought that Natty looked a little bit like Kaname (you know, the long and dark hair, the coat and the cool attitude) or Senri Shiki. And I think it would be even better if they did an Anime. I was rereading the Trilogy too when I noticed that a Bartimaeus anime/manga would be awesome.
But I'm not so sure about the Vampire Knight style. I mean, the Barti Trilogy is anything but shojo-like.

1. Queezle - Her name doesn't come from anywhere, I don't think. I just made it up! It was kind of meant to make her sound nice. I feel a bit sorry that I killed her off so fast; she is an interesting character.

Falling in love is not at all the most stupid thing that people do — but gravitation cannot be held responsible for it.
