well, i just finished PG and i wanted to make a new catch phrase (the place where he boasts about his task) for bartimaeus. How does this sound: "I AM BARTIMAEUS!! I am Sakhr al-Jinni, N'gorso the Mighty, and the Serpent of Silver Plumes!! I am the vanquisher of Nouda the Terrible; the destroyer of Faquarl, Jabor, and a thousand other djinn and afrits!! I have weilded the Staff of Gladstone, stole the Amulet of Samarkand! I have spoken with Solomon and run with the buffalo fathers of the plain! I have rebuilt the walls of Prague, Uruk, and Karnak. I have smote golems and have preserved empires. I am BARTIMAEUS!!"  what do u think? what do u think he should say??

Why aren't Ramuthera or Nouda mentioned in his boasting? Barti never seemed that dignified to me. He just simply knows how to edit and narrate.

to mwamba: i mentioned nouda but not ramuthra cuz he didnt really "fight" her to everyone else: i dont mean catch phrase as in "catch phrase", i meant the part when he boasts to intimidate ppl... |
