Is there any chance Mr.Stroud might right a prequel about Bartimaeus and Ptolemy, or any of his other exploits?

We don't know yet. He said he might consider writing a book involving a character/some of the characters sometime but not in the near future.

aww, authors can be so cruel some times..
I retracted my wing briefly, held the boy so he had a quick view of the square.
"Take a look," I said. "Which house do you think has the thinnest walls?"

For a moment, he was uncomprehending. Then his eyes widened. "You're
not---"

"That one? With the pink shutters? Yes, maybe you're right. Well, let's see..."

Well it's always possible the new book might be a prequel, but it's not going to have Nat in it.
He's 10 in AoS.
Any younger and what? Bart n Nat in Preschool?

But yes, I agree, there's not going to be any more books with nathaniel in them. I dont think there should be any more books after the trilogy, (maybe a spin off or something, but not continuing on from the trilogy) but I would be happy with a prequel. If there is a prequel though, i don't think it should be about ptolemy.

Ah. Nice catch.
I don't know, a book with Ptolemy in it could be good, but I doubt one centered around him would be.
I still want a history of Bartimaeus.
His five-thousand-plus years of experience allows for plenty of good stories.

yes, that would be good. maybe a book with a few different shorter stories about his history, rather than a long one; but telling them in past tense (still narrated by bartimaeus of course) so that it's after the events of the trilogy and stuff doesn't have to be re-explained.

or maybe a book after the trilogy (despite what i said in my other post) where it goes from present tense to past tense (stories of bart's history) between chapters, like it did in ptolemy's gate, with the scenes in alexandria, if that makes sense.

what i mean by a story in the present after the events of the trilogy is like the one on the bartimaeus trilogy website. if you haven't, go to the site and read Bart's Journal. It's written by JS, and it's good. Something along the lines of that exept with history of bartimaeus flash-backs. Sorry if this hurried post has confused anyone.

Not at all, I've read far worse :P
I'd like that, but I'd also be annoyed, because there'd be so much more to tell.

Nice.
Kratos the Destroyer.
Or Godkiller, but it's a little more flamboyant for my tastes.

Good avatar umbreo. I had one in between, but decided to discard it for a better one. But so far, I have only completed the first part. I'm sooo lazy sometimes!
Wasn't there some rumour that JS was going to write an encyclopedia? Any more leads?
