The last line (not about the training-I know that. The India deploying troops part) surprises me. I have never heard anything of that sort. I hope India doesn't do it. It will complicate everything a lot more. And India has got some concerns about fighting the war on terror under the American banner ('cause, like you told me before, the UN doesn't support the invasion. So it can't fight it under the UN banner). Plus, I don't think India is willing to pay for its troops out there. It would be very costly. They might do it of America extends monetary support or something. Also, Sent and Gladstone once told me that the NATO can flood Afghanistan with its troops, if it wants. That it is an ideological battle and that numbers don't matter much. So I don't think there is any necessity for India to join in. I think one of the reasons why Afghans like India is because it is taking part in no military operation out there. Only construction, opening welfare centres, training, and strengthening democracy and stuff like that. Also, I suppose the fact that India is not a western country helps. "The accused got to his feet and was standing over the police officer exposing his penis and thrusting it in her face, forcing her to take evasive action to avoid getting struck." This is the funniest line ever to appear in a serious news report (it was in the BBC one too). |

Or a better moral would be, don't ever get so drunk that you don't know what you are doing. And the person who needs to hear this, is currently out of station. http://www.aolnews.com/weird-news/article/gary-duschls-chewing-gum-wrapper-chain-stretches-12-miles/19407420 http://www.gumwrapper.com/ |

Not exactly Weird News, but pretty interesting: Possible Discovery of a New Species of Ancient Human. From just a fingerbone. It's pretty amazing that they can do that now. |

That is interesting. I wonder how humans would be like in a million years from now. For e.g. let's take technology. I think in 500 years, every human being on Earth would have a computer. And then, many things would be computerized too. And all computers could have touch-screen features (or better). So would our fingers evolve in a different way? We wouldn't write much so....? Okay, that was stupid reasoning. Seeing that for centuries humans have never written. But new species evolved because they were separated from their main kind mainly because of formation of geographical boundaries. And there was no inter-mingling at all. So, suppose there is a human tribe which, currently, is separated from the rest of us humans. And shall be so for the next millennium or so. They would evolve into something very different. I figure finger coordination becomes less important, if only in average. It'll still be incredibly important for any instrument or fine work, but the general populace will probably see a reduction. Our attention span has been steadily getting worse, a trend I see continuing for about fifty years until it flatlines. |

Look who's higher spirit now. ![]() It'd only be altered if it became a problem. We still have appendixes; evolution doesn't remove unnecessary abilites unless they get in the way. This is only from a 12th Grade Biology perspective; I'm sure it's a lot more complicated. |

Appendices will go away in the future, I think. But I read that some researches have shown that appendixes actually guard us from the loss of symbiotic bacteria that help in digestion. And it doesn't necessarily disappear if it is a problem. Lack of use and change in conditions matter. And a few things which we consider of no use, could actually have some function. I wrote about appendix, but that has not really been proved. But junk DNA is. It was named so because they thought it had no utility, but now it has been proven to have a function. |
