It's more than cool, it's practically a life changing experience to connect with your favourite author. And sometimes he makes really cute jokes and you get sudden urges to pinch his cheeks and squee....and don't even deny it, I know all you people do it. *fangirls* |

Well, that's one of the greatest things about JS. Which other author would do this? Also magykgurl, you know, we sent him a christmas card & it had my poem in it! JS even thanked us for the card! I was so happy! You won't believe how much! Next time we send a card u contribute too. Then u will understand how I felt. |

Probably, I know Mugglenet does a scrapbook of cards for Tom Felton. That's where I got the idea from. |

Eh. You realize that a few years ago a poll of school children showed that Jesus wasn't even in the top ten for the most important people in their lives, J.K. Rowling placed ahead. I personally am not religious, and in fact am atheist (don't hold it against me) but that's just really sad. If memory serves Santa was in the top ten too. this was elementary school kids. I'm about halfway through Fountainhead, and having read Atlas Shrugged I don't understand why she didn't get as big a following as JKR of Stroud or say Steinbeck. Than again, another poll said that Atlas Shrugged placed second in the most life-changing book ever read, behind (big surprise) the Bible. Eh. Authors are the poets of our time, it's too bad they are overshadowed by such mediocre things as celebrities... Alba's hot n all, but it's still sad. |

She sure as hell is! But yes, I is sorta sad. I mean, more people find celebrities and models more enjoyable to see than people reading books. |

Well, to see people reading books might not be particularly enjoyable. Everyone would without doubt prefer to see a celebrity then to see someone read a book.
Yeah, but I get your point. Celebrities are nothing compared to authors. They deserve much less.
