I was looking forward to Bartimaeus' revenge for Simpkin after their encounter in the first book but unfortunately it never happened.
I was just wondering what people thought Barty would have done to him?
Killed him straight out or something else?
Also I wondered whether people felt sorry for Simpkin when he died or whether he deserved it.
I think he deserved it he was too infected with magicianness (which isn't a word but i dont care) :D

Probably would have scared him half to death in a chase, then most likely toying with and in the end eating him.
Depends if Bart was tired or not, and had a taste for flame-broiled Foliot.

Well to be honest it's not exactly the first thing people think of after readin the trilogy...
I'd stick him on a stick, then roast 'im.

If I was cruel enough, I would take each limb apart slowly, and chew on each one before his eyes. :pirate1:

My, My, that would be quite... disturbing, seeing my limbs being eaten.

I kinda felt sorry for Simpkin, actually. He was so different from the other foilots, and he kept getting teased for it. -_-

anyway, i'd just chop his body into little pieces and then eat him quickly. Except I wouldn't eat him, cause i can't imagine myself as a demon eating another demon. (in fact, the very thought grosses me out.)

He was a willing slave.
Quite a bit different, I'd think.

I guess as barty is so strong compared to the foilot, he would (under the pretence of roasting/eating his limbs as Nero so rightly suggested) force him to work for him. Simpkin afterall is a willing slave. Barty would make him clean public toilets, wash his underwear & do other gross things.

1. Queezle - Her name doesn't come from anywhere, I don't think. I just made it up! It was kind of meant to make her sound nice. I feel a bit sorry that I killed her off so fast; she is an interesting character.

Willing slave for humans and willing slave for a Djinni are two very different things.

Especially if a imp is overshadowed by a great djinni like Barty.

Mightbe. If Simpkin can work willingly for a human, then why not for a djiini? He remains a slave eitherways & lesser demons have worked under higher ones for centuries. Anyway, willing or unwilling, Bart might just force him to do those things.
