Did anyone hear about Robert Knox? It's so sad...
HPB actor gets stabbed to death On a lighter note, principal photography ended a few weeks ago, so we might expect to see some trailers soon. |

I heard about the trailers but not Robert Knox. Who did he act as? |

Marcus Belby, a Ravenclaw from the Slug Club, I think. |

I read in the newspapers about him. Apparently, he died trying to save his brother. A couple more people were stabbed. But luckily, he had already enacted Marcus's role in the movie. So no change. |

Hmm...that's strange and sad. At least he got to do what he probably wanted to do with his life. On a side note, 14 deaths? That's it? Toronto and the GTA has at least thirty, unfortunately. Looks like London's police is a hell lot better. And they don't have firearms. |

Yeah, coming from a very populous part of the US where there tends to be a couple of crimes here and there, that's actually surprising to me as well. We have a theme park, an upcoming musical, other HP promotion stuff that I can't recall right now...and now we're going to have a massively multiplayer online role-playing game. A bit excited about this, but I hope it doesn't require downloading.... |

I read the online game is just a rumour? Atleast, that was what was said in mugglenet. |

It says they're "investigating the possibility". This means they'd quite like to do it, but they don't have the expertise to pull it off, so they're looking for people they can hire cheaply to make it, knowing that it will sell ridiculous amounts despite being rubbish because they hired the cheapest programmers they could find.. |

Unless they can find people who will do it just because of a Harry Potter obsession.
Well it is Toronto. And why are they making two Deathly Hallows movies. The book was fairly short. What are they going to call it? Deathly Hallows II: The Search for More Money |

Well, in the 7th book you can't omit anything. Every part is important & you can't make any scene absurdly short as the story would then be lost (esp. to the non-HP readers).
Good one! . That might pretty well be another imp. reason.

Thanks.
That hasn't stopped them before. I think that there were some parts cut out of the third that might've made it confusing (but I DO think that making a movie follow the exact same story as the book did makes it boring). |

I doubt the disappointed faces of children pretending to be Harry Potter would sway arrogant producers and directors to actually take a risk and make a long movie. It has to be a real director who knows what is important and what isn't. It's that simple, while all the costs and stuff are boiled down. And for the scriptwriter to actually read the book. And to make sure the graphics cast isn't overpaid and overused more than the scriptwriter.

Children can sit still through long movies!? Really!? Where have you seen this? And I really don't think the Hollywood movie industry is capable of using that level of thought. Atleast, not on a regular basis... Though I kind of like the Harry Potter movies. Not the best movies ever, but alright. |

DH was the last book of the series, that's the thing. It's the grand finale, the big moment, so if the filmmakers mess it up... And supposedly, a movie can't be longer than 3 hours, cause supposedly, that's how long our attention span is. Even when it's a good movie. Children's attention spans might be shorter though, like a bit less than 2 hours. Edit: Or was it shorter than 3 hours...hey, how much time did the LOTR films have?
