Looks like Halli is the title of Stroud's new book. :D

Un-related to the Bartimaeus Trilogy, but I think it will be fantasy. He did say this in an answered question here on the forum about a year ago...

Yes, I'm currently working on a new novel. It will certainly have fantasy elements in there, but there won't be any magicians... I'm hoping to finish it by next summer, and I guess it'll come out late 2007 or early 2008. I'll post up more info on this on my website - www.jonathanstroud.com - as things progress...

His blog entry from November 16th, uploaded quite recently includes:

After Vienna, my plan was to have a bit of a break from the writing of Halli. I’m close to the finish, but haven’t quite the energy to cross the line, like a marathon runner reduced to crawling on his hands and knees.

Anyhow, there are several references to it here:

Lets get excited. :krim:

Sounds like a real good book, from the entries in the journal. It's no series right? Just one book?

Yes, he has said that now. Halli was obviously just some name from which he referred to the book...

What have we said about trying to do our jobs for us, Nero... this is a topic on Heroes of the Valley. Nothing wrong with talking about Heroes of the Valley here..

I like Halli better than Heroes of the Valley.
