In page 230 of the Amulet of Samarkand, Underwood threatens Nat with this djinni type. What does it do? Does it get secrets from you or does it revel things you don't want reveled? Things that make you
So, any takers?

Could have been bluffing, but doubt it.
No idea.

Which chapter is it?
"Je suis Bartiméus!
Je suis Sakhr al-Djinn, N'gorso le tout-puissant, le Serpent à Plumes d'argent! Je ne me reconnais point de maître. Aussi je te somme à ton tour, petit.
Qui es-tu pour m'invoquer?"

Why? Do you have a different copy?
Sorry then, just find where Barty is in the Tower, then keep reading to Underwood's discovery of Nat's stuff.

Yep, I have the french version. I found this passage (page 280).
The word I have is "Outrageur". I think it is a demon who says very rude words, who can hurt someone just with words.

At least I guess if we follow the meaning of the word! And Underwood is not that powerful, and this kind of demon must be a minor one, available for Underwood when you read he would never dare to summon a djinn like Barti!! :D

Naw, its a djinni, so it has to be more powerful. But yeah not as much as Barty.

That's what I thought but Nero said it is a djinni. How do you know it is a djinn Nero?

certainly a week djinni, or most probably a foilot, similar to that of Sholto Pinn :pokehimon:

You dare say Simpkin was near djinni level! An insult to Bartimaeus! :P

I think the demon (whatever class it is) tortures a person so terribly that the person reveals all secrets. Just the Underwood type. Though the would be a minor one it would be much stronger than a human.

1. Queezle - Her name doesn't come from anywhere, I don't think. I just made it up! It was kind of meant to make her sound nice. I feel a bit sorry that I killed her off so fast; she is an interesting character.

Falling in love is not at all the most stupid thing that people do — but gravitation cannot be held responsible for it.
