Than who?
Stop drawing out the damn conversation.

Jabor? No.
Barti? Strength, yes, intelligence, no.

Lazy people...

Bartimaeus would disagree with Faquarl beating him/being stronger than him/etc.

Dang it, sorry didn't see the last page...

I seem to remember Farqual being a higher class djinni than Barty though innit true?

Yes, it is true. Bartimaeus just wouldn't admit that Faquarl could probably beat him.

Knowing Barty I know that part is true.

So is Jabor a higher level djinni then Bart or is it not mentioned in the books?

Jabor is much more powerful than Bartimaeus, but much more stupid.

Echoing the posts of so many others before me...

But is it a fact? I mean, is Jabor really a higher placed djinni then Bart? I know he seemed stronger in the battles but Bart is one who always has the tendency to think of a plan to escape then fight (even against a weaker spirit). And I sometimes see a correlation between intelligence & the level in which a djinni is placed. For example, all imps are real stupid.

I think Barty is just lazy. Jabor could probably beat him if Barty was as stupid as Jabor

Yeah that for sure. But is there a correlation between intelligence level in which a spirit is placed? Barring Jabor, that is.

I would guess so.

Doubt it.
One can have a stupid Afrit, and a genius Foliot.
Regardless, spirits are smarter than us.

Not all. But yeah, the average spirit IQ far exceeds our own. But you ought to give some credit for their longevity.
