Owls are awesome. Especially that kick-ass owl spirit with the fox helpers and the ancient library in the middle of the desert from Avatar. Whoa, long sentence. :D

Of course, if she was a familiar, Harry would be able to communicate better with her.

But Crookshanks only like Hermione...

I think Crookshanks belonged to Lily before Voldy got her. Why else would he trust Sirius and distrust Wormtail? She mentioned a cat in her letter....

Oh yes, the carefully formulated "Even if the house and everything around it was destroyed, the cat must have lived" theory :P

Anyway, if the cat was Lily's wouldn't it have remembered Harry? It's supposed to be magical.

It's a cat! It was probably out hunting or something.

Well, as Harry was only a tiny baby, without a scar then....but maybe Crookshanks did. We don't know, the books aren't from the cat's point of view.

What if the Secret Keeper forgot to tell the cat how to get in? :D It goes out to hunt and never comes back!

That would kick ass, a book with the PoV of a cat.

I can see a bad fanfiction forming in my mind over both of those.

And it hunts down DEs and kills them until it's captured by the guy from Eeylop's Owl Emporium and sold in his shop to Hermione! :D

Yeah, I can really get a clear picture of what to write.

Why would it need to go hunting? The Potter's would be able to feed it.

But a book from the POV of a cat, would be funny. Crooshanks seems a little like Lucy from Snoopy, for some reason...

Or maybe Snowball from Stuart Little.

JK Rowling said Crookshanks was just a normal cat, but half Kneazle, which explains its intelligence.
Eurgh! That interview wasn't nearly enough. there's so much more I want to know!
Look, Queezle.

Cats hunt if they're fed or not.
