in the books there is alot of talk of djinni dieing. what happens when they die, are they dead or do they just go back to the other place and have to be re summond. how are new ones made and also i know Bartimaeus isnt a very powerful being but isnt it weird that he always wins. i mean i guess the book is always about him but still even Farqual cant beat him. he seems more than the average djinn.

This has been answered by the author, several times, but I'll put it here for everyone's benefit.

When they die in our world, they are dead. Their "essence" no longer contains any "soul" just as when we're dead, our bodies contain no "soul". They don't go back to the other place.

Faquarl is more powerful than Bartimaeus. However, Bartimaeus thinks differently than he does, and this ensures his survival.

Think of it this way; A nerd has taken out a bully three times his size before, the same goes for Barti and Faquarl.
I say night I'm living in the forest of my dream,
I know the night is not as it would seem,
I must believe in something,
So I'll make myself believe it,
That this night will never go.

What?

Sorry Post, I have no idea what you just said.

Oh, and djinn are made by summoning them out of the other place. All of them are one there, but when you summon one out, it becomes an individual.

I think he meant that Barti said to change three to 1.5, just he spelled "you" "upu". And "ammend" is actually "amend".

Yes, in other words, more can be made by summoning them from the Other Place - once it's been summoned once it's a permanently defined entity. Presumably, it's much harder to summon an entity for the first time (with the exception of mites or similar spirits, which don't seem to be named but simply created in this way each time some are wanted).

I don't think so. Think of it this way, energy in our universe is recycled, so the energy of the other place is recycled too.

And fine Barti, it is more like 1.5.

ok...

a "spirit" can be created when taken from the other place. If they do not return to the other place however, and die here on earth, they are gone for good.

so if you keep summoning spirits and causing them to die by keeping them in our realm, can you make spirits become extinct?

I don't think so. You can kill millions of humans and we keep reproducing. I guess the "Other Place" just keeps generating energy.

Yeah, the djinni's are just continuations of the Other Place, but forced into our world and to take a form. When they die, the Other Place stuff kinda runs out so their link is severed I guess. No going back and no existance at all. Creepy.

Barti seems to be more clever than faquarl, as a matter of fact I think bartimaeus is the most intelligent spirit we've seen. Would kind of explain why all these greats found him so useful..

maybe since allot of the demons are really old the magic that the wizards used to make them has been lost and they only know enough to make small ones. I think that is right
and to 13 Bartumas is not that smart from a demons view since he teems up with a human and they sare the right wons becuase it is mainly written from a demons view poiint. So hah lol

It's "it's", not "its" for a start. Then, your previous post, it's "a lot", "Bartimaeus", "teams", "are", "ones", "because", "demon's", and "point". I'm not even going to try correcting the grammar.
You are in no position to correct anyone else's spelling.
