Sorry, I am new to the shipping universe.
Mwamba/Luciene would love that.

Woof...
That was rough.
Where'd Adele disappear off to?

I didn't like the "typical master" part. Firstly, because Nathaniel was not a typical master at the end of the book. Secondly, because that would mean that Ptolemy was a "typical master" too, and he wasn't.
I think Barti liked Nat in the end. Not as much as Ptolemy, but he did feel respect.

I thought by the ned of the book Barti had a great respect for Nat, not in the same way as Ptolmey or Kitty but respecting his magical abilities and sticking with him for as long as he did.
basicly " yeh you're a typical slave master pig, but as slave master pigs go you're not half bad"
Mindi Jackson , I think I'm in love. Now I just need to get famous.

Might be.
I wonder if Bart would pick up Nat's form, like he did with Ptolemy. Highly doubt it, but, still, a fangirl can dream.

Jonathan Stroud had answered a question to that effect. If I remember rightly, he said Barty would don Nat's form too, but not as often as Ptolemy's.

1. Queezle - Her name doesn't come from anywhere, I don't think. I just made it up! It was kind of meant to make her sound nice. I feel a bit sorry that I killed her off so fast; she is an interesting character.

Hmm... very good question. I haven't considered this. I think it's a hard one to call. The thing is that all three of them - Ptolemy, Nat and Kitty - would now occupy special status in Bart's eyes. Certainly he'd carry on being Ptolemy - through force of habit as much as anything. And he might well adopt Nat's appearance after a while, when the memory of Nat's death had settled down a little. I think that might be the kind of tribute he would make. And Kitty's form too would come in handy - especially when up against some sexist old magician.

What I find difficult to understand is, how come he didn't think of this question earlier? It was one of the first questions that entered my mind after reading the book.

Oh, I didn't see it!! I went through the questions, but I didn't find that one!! Thanks!
That's great. Kill me, but I kind of like Barti and Natty together LoLoLoL! yaoi. Or at least, I like to think that Barti liked Nat (I mean, Ptolemy-like, but not as much as him. Just a little bit).

I agree with AkRene ... books have their power over some of us. I can not imagine not feeling for a character (and feeling I mean, deeply, very deeply, like it was family) ... but I usually cry at the wrong moments XD.

In one book I once cried when a guy sold his sword - a sign that he refused to be assassin anymore because of his girlfriend ... but didn't shead a tear once this girlfriend died.

I think I do it wrong in Bart as well ... I'm just a demon/bad-guy/evil nut and I connect more to these misunderstood creatures than with humans (yeah, I'm a freak, so sue me XD) so I cry when Bart feels sad and such.
And yes I cried at the end just because Bart was so confused and angry at the same time, he didn't actually like Nat, but he didn't want him to die. And that "Huh?" just wins it all.
