Still doubt it.

I would say she died. It's the 3rd Law of Fantastical Fiction. If the main character dies at the end of a book, then his enemies should too. Thus, she died.

:good: That would be a fitting end. She has never shown any lycanthropic tendencies, and with werewolfes often being in "murderous frenzies" (GE), she was probably eaten.
