This one's for the bit older crowd considering the amount of blood. This is also from the author of "Cirque Du Freak" And i really enjoy this series aswell. Only got to read the first two since that's all that's out here in the US but so far it's really good, i love the first one and the second was good too just not AS good. :D

I ment older then cirque du freak. With a room filled with brains splatted across the walls, skulls hung up, and cloths ripped to shreads and three dead bodies, i wouldn't really say for kids to be exact but it's not "Older" per say. The writing is easy to read, so it's very enjoyable.

I must disagree, sure lord loss has a few gory moments, but if you look at the Darren Shan as a whole it contains much like this and more.
I think this is more for kids. Its not exactley violent (I know, with the two familiars) because its described more to thrill than disgust.
As well, the Darren Shan series deals with more adult issues like coping with loss (well I guess in the Demonata they cope with allot of loss, lord loss that is), as well as personal betrayl and personal evils. And dont forget what darren does in the end of sons of Destiny.

*Spoiler ahead*

I think a book that deals with suicide is much more adult than just violent demons

I still think that Darren shan is more adults. It deals with more than just plain gore.

Oh.

Ok, then.

My friend is supposed to lend me the third one in Novemember.

See Ianna's Story of the Day to see what I did to get the second one.
