I think Nathaniel was the main character, even though Bartimaeus is the only narrator. Nathaniel's easily the best one morally out of the three. Plus, Bartimaeus was only around to serve Nathaniel, who was the real guy doing the real stuff. |

I don't know about Nathaniel being the best one morally. Barty & Kitty fit the bill better. Until Nathaniel redeemed himself. Then they were sort of equal. |
