3) Elva.

Am I the only one who read that scene where Eragon curses her and felt a bit creeped out? I mean, how can the Varden get to sleep at night knowing that such extraordinary powers are vested in someone who, completely by accident, can pretty much screw up someone else's life with total impunity?

Paolini said that he isn't a vegetarian, so he's not really enforcing his vegetarian beliefs on us. No wonder it makes no sense that Eragon, a hunter and farmer, suddenly is disgusted by eating two bunnie wabbits.

Elva's existence makes no sense. Am I the only one who caught "The words don't matter as much as the intent. A magician could say "water", and create a gem by finding a connection between them"?

I just got halfway through Eldest, and I was struck by how Paolini changed how the magic system worked.

Try not to think when reading the books.

It'll only confuse you and cause you to get angry.

Paolini didn't rewrite the magic system, he just showed a more advanced level.
Yeah.
Honest.
Hmm.

Yes, I have to agree with you. That's the reason that I thought they were ok.

Just out of curiosity who do you think will be the green rider, Ianna? I don't think it will be Elva, because when Eragon removes the spell she will be an infant again.
