I don't have any pirated DVDs, games, or anything like that.
I have copied one or two games and one music CD, but actually for backup purposes - the discs were getting so scratched they were almost useless, so I copied them to fresh discs.

I think what they mean is that you are not allowed to copy and distribute.... in your case Sent I think they wouldn't care.

Indeed, copying for backup purposes is legal, at least under UK law (although that said, it's illegal to break copy protection, even for backup purposes - though nothing I copied was copy protected).

You're allowed to backup disks for home, but once you start distributing those disks it becomes illegal.

Does anyone know anything about saving game files onto a dvd? Dad has tried quite a few times, but for some reason, halfway through it just stops.

I'm pretty sure it'll be the only way to get my game working properly again. My Sims 2 is royally Flooping 'ecked.

I know the night is not as it would seem,
I must believe in something,
So I'll make myself believe it,
That this night will never go.

Waste of a pentacle.
Who has the eragon dvd? I have it and the bonus features and deleted scenes are quite good. I even have a review about it on my website which you can see in my sig.

To contribute to some posts above, i also do not own any pirated movies/dvds, though a lot of people do.

Well, it's good news as allways on the Piracy front. Starforce seems to be dead. Royal pain to pirate, my solution was to disconnet the DVD drives.

I don't know how you would pull out the data, but definitely the power cable you could.

Post meant the data cable or power cable...

That's the copy protection kicking in most likely, Artemis. Get CloneCD.

And yes, Apo, I know, that's what I just said.

You seem to know heaps about technology Sent! I admire that of you. Anyway for the video game stopping half way though when copying did the makers of the game install some kinda software into te game to make it stop half way through so people couldn't copy it?

Those who have been Perma-Banned.

Why'd Fred get perma-banned? I mean, I really didn't like him, but I'm curious.
