Sadly, Faraqul is stronger. As Barti said, "Intelligence beats brute force any day of the week." |

Faquarl is definitely stronger but it really doesn't seem like too big of a margin. |

Much as I love Barti there's no contest - it's defidently Farqual. I'd be willing to say Barti was more clever though. |

Defidently more fun to read about. Farqual wouldn't make much of a main character. |

How dare you insult the North Star!!! <_< Farqual is stronger than Barti, though not by much because they are the same class of spirit. It says in various places that Barti was once able to defeat afrits, so I gather that once, Barti was able to defeat Farqual. |

IF Bartimaeus said that then it was probably a lie. We've seen him fight Faquarl several times and the recurring theme of those confrontations appears to be, "Holy **** it's Faquarl better skedaddle!" |

Depends on what form of 'stronger' people mean. For brute strength, Farquarl would probably beat Barty, but Barty's initiative might be the clincher to pull him through as the winner if he fought Farquarl directly. It's a confusing one. I'm guessing that the result would be different each time the fight played out. Stuff like where they fought would make a big difference, too. |
