This particular hawk tackled a full-grown hare and almost won. It'd eat your cat for breakfast.

Never mock a cat, for are they not the embodiment of the ferocity of a tiger? Find your Zen, Ninjas can learn a thing or two from the humble Cat.

Hawks have bigger claws than cats, a sharp beak, the ability to move in a three-dimensional plane, and feathers, allowing it to look bigger and scarier, and avoid sharp cat claws.
Hell, they're also pretty damn tough. One of his other hawks (same species as that one) survived a 12,000V shock.

Point? Why does it need a point?

Hawks coast silently on the wind and glide up behind the cat out of the sun... and then the cat dies.

Cats are heavier, in a one on one fight in which the hawk attacks, the Cat wins. And The Hawk feeds on rodents, carrying them off and killing them on flight, A cat is too heavy, and besides: Tooth to the throat beats talons to the back anyday.

Can I call in Cat's family as seconds?

Talons to the back? Nonsense. They grab the neck. Then they break it with their beaks. Simple, fast and effective.

If you call in the cat's family, I call in the hawk's family. Some of the big eagles and eagle owls have wingspans of eight metres.
Oh, and Harris Hawks (the type I pictured there) hunt in packs.

You'd be surprised. Probably with less trouble than a harris hawk vs a house cat.

Birds evolved from dinosaurs. Pretty direct.
