Oil prices have already shot up. Are you kidding me? (Here anyway, which is bad because America depends on cars like you wouldn't believe.)

Bush gets the blame of course, and oil companies.

(When I was giving that prediction about China, I meant in a long time from now. It's not going to happen overnight, you know.)

Imagine the shoot up if the Middle East dissendargrates into war. 110$ a gallon? We'll all have to depend on Russia...

China's a possibility, not a certainty.

Yeah.

But if the US hadn't put the money into the war, and put it into technology instead, I bet crude oil could have been made obselete. (With new technology.)

But that's just wishful thinking on my part.

Thats a pretty good idea, though you are assuming the US went into Iraq just because of Oil.

Ah, you're right, but oil is just what pops into the head of most Americans with the war.

So you equate war with oil? Things must be bad.

I don't really see anything wrong. Except the soaring gas prices. (Everyone bitches about it, although, I can understand why.)

Fusion is the way to go. That or orbital solar power plants.
Fission reactors may be needed to keep us going until we can get reliable power from those sources, though...
