the spheres don't use spirits, elemental force is compressed into them. Technically Golems can be destroyed by blowing them up. |

However, since they're walking rocks, with extra magic, blowing them up needs a lot of force. |

i don't think that any spirit could kill a golem as the golem doesn't have anything inside it. its basically a walking rock with a spell to make it walk. it relies on brute strength and the controllers will to make it animated. And also i seem to remember that spheres had spirits in which cause chaos because they hate each other and when they fly out they are in such a rush to get away from each other. I don't think i would like being in a ball with thre other people for years. Woud you? |

Ten for Ten, good answer Kavka. And you'd be correct, Golem's are simply rocks with animate spells and an eye for control. Take the spell away, the Golem returns to the master or crumbles trying. Correct on the sphere as well. Each of the essences of the elementals (whether they're spirits or not is another discussion) are opposites, Water to Fire, Earth to Air, and being couped up there doesn't help. That's why they're so dangerous, why they're so destructive. They unleash all they have in one big furous blast. ~Dansariki |

Haha, very true. However, I have another question for you: Can something as simple as a Detonation destroy a Golem? Say Nouda loosed the most power Detonation he could, would it do anything? |

I'd say so. Honorius got close with Brute Magic Power, and he was just an afrit. And on the elemental sphere thing, yup, the spirits of different kinds get bored of their 'limited conversation material' or something on those lines, according to Bartimaeus. |

I doubt it. Then the magicians would have obviously tried that. I think it's resistent to all sorts of magic. |

As for Nectanebo's answer, I'd say that Honorius used most of his energy just so particles of the golem would come apart. So probably a dozen afrits would get a small pile of clay. But the magic might regenerate the clay, as it did for the shadows that covered the golem. |
