Would you be protected from a golem if you had the Amulet of Samarkand?
I don't think so, because they have a different source of power than a djinn.

I thought it was just any kind of magic.

That's an interesting question. The Amulet has a spirit in, so I doubt it would protect against Golem magic... and even if it did, it wouldn't stop Golem smashing.

Oh wait, the Golem was more like an energy sapper for the spirits.

Another question for Stroud maybe?

But couldn't the spirit in the Golem protect itsself?

There was a spirit in the amulet, I think. The Golem doesn't use magic, it sucks magic. Therefore, I don't think the amulet would work against a Golem. Keyword here: THINK.

The golem uses earth magic, not air and fire magic that spirits use. And there is supposed to be a powerful spirit in the Amulet, but the golem could probably still kill it.
Also, the spirit probably couldn't defend against the golem just smashing it.

Marids are spirits of water, I believe. Afrits are spirits of fire, and djinni of air. Golems are of earth, and therefore are invulnerable to spirit magic.
That said, I wonder if water spirits (Marids) could damage golems?

So what would Nouda and Ramuthra be? 'Cause their higher than marids.

Varies from spirit to spirit, I guess. Ramuthra is disruption, not one of the elements, but Nouda? No idea.

I don't think marids would be able to stand up to a Golem.

I think Golems are more of a kill with a A bomb, rather then kill with a spirit.

If magic doesn't work on them, I doubt a bomb would do much damage. I think Kitty's way is the best.

Well, isn't that the only way to kill a golem? Take the parchment out of it's mouth?
