You know the Kookaburra, an Australian bird? Its call sounds like laughing. This one laughs cynically. Get it? |

Really? They just sit there to me. But then again I only care about marsupials in Australia, so what do I know? Do one of the Bali Starling. |

You've never heard a kookaburra laugh? You're deprived. Google for 'kookaburra laugh' or something similar. |

Well, no. Somehow the documentaries on Discovery never really show it, and if there were any kookaburras in Australia when I visited I wasn't there to hear it laugh, seeing as I was very, very sick. |

The only time I've been to Australia was when I was three, and so I remember none of it. I've heard a kookaburra laughing in a zoo, though. |

I've never seen one, but I like the song about the kookaburra on the gum tree or something like that. |
