I don't get how certain djinni can suddenly become afrits. If you recall the second book, Jessica Whitwell's demon was a djinni in a bear's form. But in the third, just before she was killed by Nouda, the book said that the same demon was her afrit.

I think it was either a mistake or perhaps it was a different spirit...There're so many different demons, coincidence would be that a few of them might have similar tastes.

Lord Nouda, do you happen to know where in book 2 Whitwell's demon is mentioned? I wanted to see if it was really referred to as a djinni, but I can't find the quote. :(
'...it was like looking at a clear night sky--all black and cold and infinite, with tiny lights glinting, unreachable and far away.... It was terrible, yet beautiful; she was drawn to it as a child to a window.'

I think it's where Nathaniel, Whitwell and Talfoy? (sp) were in a room after the collapse of the London Museum. Then in the third book, you have to refer to the part when Whitwell was in front of Nouda when she suddenly summons her afrit to attack him while she escapes.

they were two different spirits.
'"That's right," I said "Me. What, did you think that I'd be all nice and quiet for you? Think again, sonny. There are two of us in this body now. Check this out."
To prove my point I lifted one of his fingers and methodically picked his nose. He uttered a squawk of protest. "Stop that!"'
I lowered the arm. "That's not all I can do if I put your mind to it"'

No rule against necroposting. Especially on a tiny forum like this - it just isn't a problem.

In some large forums, you're not allowed to resurrect old threads (necroposting).

It varies from place to place, but it's often around two weeks to a month.
