a newer entity cant just appear like that, their fate has nothing to do with the magicians, they die and are reborn from their essence

But then he died. Wouldn't he be serparated from the body and move on, probably back to the Other Place?

no, there was a part missing in his essence, its his tie back to the other realm, he can never go back, his essence is doomed, barti explained it

Ok, first of all I have a problem with the top sentence. The magicians give pieces of essence a name and they become entities. Explained in PG when Bartimaeus is talking to Kitty.

When a djinni or other spirits dies, they're dead. They're essence is destoryed. There wasn't a part of essence missing really. It was the fact that the magician's brain was destoryed so Faqural couldn't be sent home.

I don't know if anyone mentioned this, but Bartimaeus said Gladstone's staff contained at least two marids' worth of power. Think it means anything?

Also, the Prime Minister himself only had an afrit (in AoS, at least). And Bartimaeus said in his "pep talk" that the Czechs had a marid. I'm guessing marids are generally summoned for times of war, considering the most powerful person on the planet didn't have one to guard his back.

I think it means Gladstone was very potent.

Mr Button summoned the marid to talk to it.

Deveraux isn't powerful enough to summon much. Even the afrit is summoned by his advisers. He'd need far too many people involved to summon a marid - more people than he could trust.

Who has a marid as a bodyguard in book three? o_O

Nouda. Ramuthra is strong but...

Nope, I recall somewhere in Ptolemy's Gate when Barti was in Nats body he said to Nouda 'I have fought far greater entities than you.....including the mighty Ramuthra' These are not the exact words but he said something like this.
Also Bartimaeus originally said that Nouda was 'probably' stronger than a Marid not 'definitely', but with Ramuthra he was sure of it.
