i do not remember anything in the books mentioning this, and i have not read the third yet, but do we know if anyone has succesfully summoned one? |

i think there has been references to it, as barti (in book) said that they usually take 2 or more magicians

Marids do get summoned - hell, they sometimes summon higher spirits - like Ramuthra. They're powerful, sure, but nothing a decent couple of magicians couldn't control. |

Nouda was a higher spirit - stronger than even a marid. Ramuthra was a higher spirit too, just not quite as strong as Nouda. |

1 Pennyfeather never summoned a Marid cuz he's not a magician, 2 he still has both arms 3 if he ec=ver faced a Marid and tried to quetion it, it would kill him in a maatter of seconds |
