They are still dealing with the script!? Blow!
Anyway, I hope they choose the actors from this forum & not go on with some renowned child actor. As they did in the case of HP. Also we have the advantage of knowing the story & we can act the part.

They need whoever knows the trilogy the best (other than Stroud). So yeah, they do need ya lol. :D (Unless you were asking for Random's or Luciene's opinion...)

And annoying as many of us would be asking how it was and blah blah blah...

I don't really think we would know if, on the off-chance, one of our own was picked. Because one, I don't think they'd tell us, or two, if they did, we might not believe them. The odds of that happening in any case are slim.

I would tell everyone if it was me & i would'nt mind answering all the questions members might pose. Yes, but one of us getting selected is very slim. Anyway, where is the shooting going on? Mightbe if one of our members is from that particular city then.....

I don't think anyone from the forums will be picked for anything, unless it's as an extra, and even then, only if Stroud gives it the OK, assuming he recieves full control.
I doubt he'll let a movie be made, period, unless he gets control over the entire situation, despot-style control.
That's why Atlas Shrugged was never made ('till now), Ayn Rand wanted full control, and Hollywood just threw it on the shelf and said fine, we'll wait 'till you're dead.
She hated Fountain Head, the adaption.
That's the reason she wanted control of Shrugged.
If Stroud decides to take that route, we may have a significantly longer time to wait for anything whatsoever, regardless of how he feels, unless he can find a studio that will give him what he wants.
He should also have the foresight to do what Lucas did, keep the merchandizing rights.
Yes, I know I spelled that wrong.
I'd perfer, as I've said, unknowns, but personally I wouldn't care if someone like Keanu Reeves or Jack Nicholson gets it, as long as they can do the part correctly.
I'll (and Stroud'll) not have some idiot tear apart his story.
Look what happened with the fim adaption of The Cat in the Hat.
Ugh.
Finally someone had the intelligence to go animation, with Horton Hears a Who.
Wow.
I feel in a typing mood, aparently.

The Cat in the Hat had a lot of bad inappropriate jokes. I mean, there's S.L.O.W., which is ok, but that other one? Seriously? I bet the little kids who were watching that were smart enough to ever figure that out. And it's rated PG too...O.o

At least the filmmakers should keep Bart's unique sense of humor. Now that would be something worth going to the movies for. :D

Definetly.
I wonder how it'll do in other countries? We know the bookks have been transalted, but English (language) humor doesn't always translate very well...

They can always replace with jokes from their own countries. But then again, it does seem kinda hard to not ruin the deep feeling you get from reading the story when you're translating.

Bart wasn't always speaking English though, since he's been to other countries like Egypt and Prague. That might make things a little easier for the translators. They just have to think like Bart, that's all. :D

I always found English inadequate. It's tougher to translate jokes in other languages into English than vice versa.
What's up with u Smeagol? Why are u typing that message again & again. It would be against the rules.
