As long as the person who's chosen to do Bart doesn't mess him up, then I'm perfectly ok!

Looks like there's some Canadian pride going on here. But I don't mind going to Canada someday; just want to see what it's going to be like in the winter olympics (which is still far away). Anyway back on topic...

How long does it usually take to film a movie (not counting the pre- and the post-production)? Around 3 months? :hmm:

You need to be specific with that question; it can last 3 weeks to several months depending on set backs, stunts, etc. But it's an average 2-3 months.

In Ptolemy's form, you mean? Cause those gargoyle and lizard forms will probably be done with CGI.

CGI for everthing but live action and the spirits when they are in a human form. HOw else would it work?
Due to the lesser amount of live-action compared to most films (CGI-only need not apply) I expect about a month and a half to two months for shooting, then possibly a 6 month long pre- and post-production job.
We'd be very lucky indeed to see a 2008 release, I'm guessing a Mid-09 release if things start shooting within a couple months.
More likely a Summer release.

I doubt it'll happen good, though.

Though Spiderwick is doing well with critics and the box office I hear and it's probably around the same popularity as Bart.

Slightly less, I like to think.
I wrote a couple scripted scenes cuz I was bored one night and couldn't sleep.

Perhaps.

But if they're turning that sorry excuse for a novel Twilight into a movie then...

Which is why Garth Nix didn't sell Sabriel's rights...

I think the earliest we'll get it is 2010, and that's if we actually hear something as far as the script goes.
