I didn't get a chance to see movie 5 when it came out, so I might not get to see movie 6, since it's out in November (that's the release date right?) and I would probably have school that time (unless it's released somewhere during thanksgiving weekend? :hmm:) I'm definitely promising myself to see movie 7...otherwise I won't be worthy to call myself a Harry Potter fan! |

Unless it sucks. (i.e. Eragon [not that in my opinion the book already sucked]) Some say the Golden Compass wasn't good, some said it was the BEST! |

I just noticed something...didn't some parts of Eragon come from LOTR? O.o Saphira was the only interesting thing in the Inheritance books...but don't tell me she got ripped off from other books too!

Nope. Possibly the only original character. |

Unfortunately, yes. But I still like them. |

Eragon has no originality in it whatsoever, the plot-lines, the characters, the events, they've all been done before, and yes, even Sapphira. (The Dragon Riders of Pern, anyone?) And besides that, Paolini's writing style is just... poorly done. He "tells" and doesn't "show" what is happening, his sentences and paragraphs are choppy, and his writing is riddled with inconsistancies. |

The only people that like Eragon that haven't recognized all the originality haven't read any real good books. Haven't seen good writing style. Heh, but I saw a review saying that CP could haven shrank the book in have if he didn't use so much complex words and so much detail. (Apologizes about the grammar) But those who have noticed Eragon's horrible...at everything, but still like it, must only like the cliffhanger and the adventure. Such as Dansariki. Even though it's unoriginal and the sentences are bad (could be the editor) you can't help but like it. Even though I sorta don't anymore. But maybe cause it's a ripoff of classics... |

Well said, Nero, and that is indeed correct. While I'm normally not one to defend Paolini himself, I get the feeling his editor couldn't have helped much. I I have read the classics, with the apparent exception of Pern. I'll have to try and find it. While I enjoy bashing people who deserve it, I think we need to return to the topic at hand: The AoS Film. Danke. |

I just googled up the AoS movie, and I found this site where it turns out that a director was already announced for the movie! Not sure if they updated the page a long time ago or just recently, though. Look under Cast and Crew Edit: Just ignore this post... <_< |
