It doesn't make sense for them to target the teens and adults only. Someone who's never read the books would think it's another HP-type kiddie franchise. When A series of unfortunate events came out, that's what most people thought, even though that was another genre altogether. So yeah, I think it'll be very child-oriented.

The books are usually in the 9-12 section, even if Jon wrote it for an older audience. The movie will probably be the same.
